A. Call to Order
St. Louis called the meeting to order at 7:37 p.m. at the Town Office Building, 40 Old Farms Road, Willington, CT.

1. Richard & Kathleen McKee, 144 Willington Hill Road, Voiding out Recording Studio
Home Occupation Permit
St. Louis said this permit was approved a few years ago. Yorgensen noted that the McKees have elected not to renewed the permit since they no longer have the studio. She said they had been notified that the subject was on the agenda for tonight.
MOTION: To void the Home Occupation Permit for Richard & Kathleen McKee
of 144 Willington Hill Road.

2. File #2002-6 – Request for a Zone Change at 61 Turnpike Road from Designed
Industrial to Residential 80 and a Preliminary Site Development Plan (Map 45, Lot 6,
12.5 acres). Richard Dezso applicant, Mary Drew owner. (Received on 02/05/02,
Hearing on 03/19/02 cont. to 04/02/02, Decision by 06/04/02.)
MOTION: To table File #2002-6 until the May 21 meeting.

3. File #2002-15 – Application for a Home Occupation located at 91 Luchon Road for
a Massage Therapy Practice for Women (Map 18, Lot 10 & 10A, 1.9 acres). Carol
Springer owner/applicant. (Received on 03/05/02, Hearing on 04/16/02, Decision by
06/18/02.)
Yorgensen said that Assistant Agent Jones had previously put together some possible conditions for approval. St. Louis said that a neighbor had some concerns at the Public Hearing.
MOTION: To approve File #2002-15 for a Home Occupation located at 91 Luchon
Road for a Massage Therapy Practice for Women with the following
stipulations:
1. That the Fire Marshall, Building Inspector, and Health Inspector
approve prior to a CO.
2. Signage shall be pursuant to regulations.
3. Permit shall be renewable annually.
4. State occupational licenses shall be submitted annually.
5. Hours of operation to be 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. weekdays and
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Re: Informational Meeting – Wednesday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Office
Building -- Concerning the Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley National
Heritage Corridor
Yorgensen invited all Commission members to attend this informational meeting on May 15. St. Louis commented that 35 towns are members of this organization and there are many benefits of joining the Corridor.
Concerning the Commission vacancy, St. Louis said that William Goodale, presently an alternate, had been the Commission’s recommendation. He said he had asked Ms. Lewis, Vice Chairman of A Sentinel Party, to bring their candidate, Norman Gray, to our next meeting on May 21.
